March was mad.
From Feb. 27 through April 3, I was very busy.
And it was all due to covering women’s college basketball, a sport I’ve really enjoyed watching closely and writing about over the past few years.
I traveled to Greensboro, Blacksburg, Greenville and Dallas in the span of five weeks. I spent my birthday covering a pair of awesome Sweet 16 games. And I flew to Texas for the first time to cover my third Final Four.
And for each trip, I paid my own way — gas, lodging, food, etc. (and for Dallas, a flight).
But thanks to all the freelance work I’ve done, I covered all of my expenses and made a little extra. Which is pretty awesome. So, a big thank you to all the editors that have given me work, and all the fans for reading.
Here’s everything I’ve written about women’s college basketball during March Madness. The final tally: 58 stories, two videos, 10 different news outlets in 36 days.
